“Visiting Far South Wilderness Camp was a wonderful learning experience for our students and in the most picturesque and peaceful setting. Activities provided by the venue are engaging as well as fun and the students really loved them. Food was outstanding and plentiful – excellent provisions, muffins out of this world. The whole camp experience works exceptionally well and hosts are very welcoming and friendly, and there is even a camp fire offered to toast your marshmallows on. Dominic College students and staff attending have been very pleased with the experience and accommodation provided. Highly recommended.” – Barbara Moulton Dominic College.
“St Brigid’s Catholic School always looks forward to our Grade 5/6 classes attending the Far South Wilderness camp. The diversity offered at the camp is greatly appreciated by the students and staff and the team building activities are always thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. However the students always say the highlight of our camps is the yummy food and the friendliness of the staff. I would thoroughly recommend FSW camp to all schools as an exciting, clean and well presented site – 10 out of 10!” – Marty Ogle. Assistant Principal St Brigid’s Catholic School.
“We are not sure if it is the magnificent scenery, the clean and tidy cabins, the scrumptious food or the excellent activities but year after year Mount Carmel College Grade 5 students heads to Far South Wilderness Lodge for their annual school camp. As a teacher it is a fabulous place to take our students to enable them to experience the great outdoors, but in the secure confines of a huge amount of land that is Far South. A great mix of organised activities with the assistance of Nigel and Meredith and a chance to coordinate our own activities allows the girls to experience pursuits that they may not normally get to do. A favourite this year was definitely the fishing as well as the Geocaching; it was near impossible to get them to come back. The stories around the camp fire that night about who caught the biggest fish were certainly entertaining. Far South Wilderness Lodge is definitely a place I would recommend for all.” – Melanie Sluyters Mt Carmel College.
“St Mary’s College has used the wonderful facilities at Far South Wilderness for many years. We find it an excellent venue that accommodates a range of recreational, educational and spiritual activities. The staff exhibit the utmost professionalism when dealing with both teaching staff and students, and are willing to cater to every need, no matter how small, or demanding. Their facilities are always immaculately presented and welcoming, and the food is not only nutritious, but extremely tasty as well! Our girls always come away from camp with a positive experience, as do our staff – it really is a wonderful place to visit!” – Lucy Paske Year 9 Coordinator St Mary’s College.
